Some of the biggest hits of the 1980s are given an updated makeover on this album from studio group the Electro Lounge All Stars. '80s Chill Out Lounge features cool, sleek electronic interpretations of 57 tunes that were hits in the decade that brought us Pac Man, carefully torn sweatshirts, and the Rubik's Cube. Selections include "Material Girl," "Billie Jean," "Personal Jesus," "New Year's Day," "Axel F," "Every Breath You Take," and many more. You've come across this kind of garbage before here...vanity projects that would never have seen the light of day in a time before it was so easy for anybody to create an "album" and get the thing up for sale somewhere on the Internet. But this is hands-down the worst I've encountered. You almost have to think this is an intentional joke...except that there is so much of it. Perhaps this "music" could be used to interrogate terrorist suspects...make them listen to this collection over and over and over. Or perhaps that's what should be done to the people who created it! For a horrible laugh, check out the cover of "Moonlight Shadow," a true abomination.
